I made my first sale of a digital product (as an affiliate) in 2008… which for those keeping track is 16 years ago!
And in those 16 years, I’ve sold just about everything from cheap physical beauty products priced at $7, up to high-ticket digital info products and services costing tens of thousands of dollars.
In all that time I’ve run across and implemented probably over a hundred different marketing and sales strategies and tactics. Heck, I’ve created and named several of these strategies myself.
As you’re likely aware, most marketing and sales strategies don’t quite “hit.” They produce some results but they’re not a homerun. Others have just straight-up not worked at all for me—they’ve failed miserably.
And looking back, I can really only point to a handful of sales strategies and tactics I’ve used and say, “Wow, that really… actually… worked and moved the needle.”
You and I are both bombarded these days by gurus telling us to use X, Y, Z tactics and we’ll sell more of our widgets, charge more, or get more clients.
This week I’d like to share a few of my favorite sales strategies and tactics from over the years. These won’t just be any old tactic or strategy…

- Were easy to implement
- Made me a ton of money
- And were FUN to employ
I’ll kick things off tomorrow with a sales strategy that helped me sell my first business and gain confidence in my ability to write copy.
I learned this strategy from an old head guru I’m sure you’ve heard of, but this strategy is something you can use right now (in your own business or a client’s business) if you need to come up with a killer promotion and to make a bunch of cash this holiday season.
