**YO!

Thinking about it makes me want to puke.

Approaching a potential client, starting a conversation, and thinking of ways to sneak up the fact that you could write great copy for them.

Ugggh. 🤢🤢

I didn’t have to do much of that thanks to the reputation I built early on.

But it’s something I see other copywriters go through.

The struggle to get clients is real.

Sending 100 cold messages every day, copying and pasting canned pitches, is only going to waste your time, and get a couple of eff-yous in the process.

Spamming people on social media is even worse since you could get banned.

Everything changes when you change your stance, and if you do it right, clients will ask you to work with them.

Here’s what I mean.

One of my friends is a fisher.

Once or twice a year he stops buying meat at the grocery store and he relies entirely on his ability to get food for himself.

He doesn’t get nervous or worry about finding food.

Why?

Because he knows where good fish hang out and knows how to catch them.

It allows him to relax, and trust that, if he does what he knows to do, he’ll be fed every day. There’s no risk.

That’s the same thing great copywriters do.

Just like fish in a pond, if you know where to find clients that value direct response copywriting, and know how to approach them, you’ll never need to worry about getting paid.

You’ll just go to where they are, hit them up, and a couple of days later you’ll have money in your bank account and a new copy project.

Most copywriters never get there, because they’re so lost in their fear of not being able to make it this month, they can never get out of that cycle of anxiety.

Now that you know, you have perspective, and you can use that to create an influx of clients for yourself.

Here’s how you can find good clients and approach them easily.

Just like when you’re home and need to go pee, you never get anxious about not being able to find the bathroom…😂😂

…when you know where clients are and how to talk to them, it becomes easy to land new copywriting gigs (and get paid big bucks for them).

Never beg for copywriting gigs again.

Keep rocking,

-Ning

P.S. One cool benefit of having this skill is that client acquisition becomes fun.

Think about it. If you knew that after talking to 3 or 4 people you’d end up with an $8K gig, would the search suck?

It’d be super fun because an $8K check is waiting for you at the end of it.

Make getting clients fun here.**
